CATALOG CONNECTION SUPPORT
Get the embedded catalog app working.
This page covers the submitted read-only Shopify experience: Overview, Catalog, and the fresh Agent check inside Shopify Admin. Never send a password, access token, recovery code, or customer information to support.
First-time setup
- Install GlassPalace, confirm Shopify's standard app-identity row, and approve exactly the two required Admin API read scopes:
read_productsandread_inventory. - Select Finish secure setup in the embedded app.
- Sign in and select the precreated workspace card that should own the store.
- Wait for the automatic return to GlassPalace under Apps in Shopify Admin.
- Confirm the exact
.myshopify.comdomain before reviewing catalog data.
Common errors and safe retry
- Setup link expired: reopen GlassPalace from Shopify Admin and select Finish secure setup again.
- Sign-in or workspace selection did not finish: return to the embedded app and restart its single-use setup flow. Do not reuse an old setup URL.
- Catalog is pending or partial: keep the embedded app open until synchronization finishes, then reload it once and check the displayed freshness time.
- Fresh Agent check reports unavailable data: first confirm that the connection is healthy and synchronization has completed, then run the fixed check once more.
If a retry still fails, note the exact connected shop domain, the visible error, and the UTC time. Do not repeatedly submit the same action.
Data freshness
Overview and Catalog show synchronized products, collections, tracked inventory, explicit inventory-not-tracked labels, and a freshness timestamp. Products for which Shopify does not track inventory are excluded from the tracked-inventory total and low-inventory classification. Pending or partial data is labelled. The Agent check discovers the active connection again for its request and reports the exact shop and provider fetch time; if live access is unavailable, it reports that condition instead of presenting an earlier answer as current.
Uninstall and reinstall
Uninstall GlassPalace from the Apps and sales channels area in Shopify Admin. Uninstall revokes the store connection. To reinstall, open the app listing again, confirm the standard app-identity row and the same two Admin API read scopes (read_products and read_inventory), then repeat the first-time setup above. A reinstall creates a fresh isolated connection and does not restore a revoked provider session.
